To continue supporting Penn State faculty’s remote teaching, Teaching and Learning with Technology is offering virtual office hours each day during the week of March 16. During these sessions, instructors can get help with transitioning their courses from a residential format to remote.
Penn State faculty are going beyond using traditional video in their courses by incorporating virtual-reality immersive experiences. They are discovering how those experiences help enhance active learning and focus students' attention on critical lessons in their courses.
A guest interacts with a unique virtual reality experience at the 2019 Off the Wall pARTy at Penn State New Kensington. Attendees of the event's VIP experience were able to utilize a mobile app to hover over graphics to reveal interesting elements designed by featured artist Rodney 所有en 瞬间, professor of practice in graphic design at the Stuckeman School in Penn State’s College of Arts and Architecture. 瞬间, who also showcased some of his industrial art pieces at the event, also recently won Penn State's Teaching and Learning with Technology Open Innovation Challenge.
