Penn State Laureate to bring "FaceAge" exhibit and lecture to 新肯辛顿

Award-winning multimedia exhibition to be featured Feb. 20-23

宾夕法尼亚州新肯辛顿.— An award-winning multimedia journey exploring cross-generational views on life and aging will make its way to Penn State 新肯辛顿 Feb. 20-23.  “FaceAge” is produced and directed by 安德鲁·贝尔瑟, the 2017-2018 Penn State laureate and professor of movement, 配音和表演. 

Belser is also director of the 艺术s and Design Research Incubator (ADRI) with the College of 艺术s and Architecture.

“This Penn State Laureate tour is ideally timed to play a significant role in launching ‘FaceAge’ toward national and international prominence, further broadcasting Penn State’s leadership as a progressive innovator in approaches to creative and research activity,” said Belser to Penn State’s faculty affairs.

The “FaceAge” exhibit aims to be an immersive experience featuring three large screens that show a loop of videos where young adults and aging individuals have interactions.  The result reflect intergenerational views on aging and aims to challenge age-related stereotypes.

The exhibit will be on display at the campus Feb. 20-23从8点.m. 到5点.m. 每一天.

Belser will also give a lecture at noon on Feb. 21 in the campus’ Forum Theatre. 

The exhibit and lecture are free and open to the public. 

“FaceAge” has been touring throughout 宾西法尼亚 as p艺术 of Belser’s tour as laureate. 

The Penn State Laureate was established in 2008 and annually recognizes a University faculty member to bring recognition to the 艺术, 人文学科, faculty work and Penn State.
